Devonport Airport is a small regional airport serving the town of Devonport in Tasmania’s north-west. If travelling by car the airport is located on the coast just eight kilometres east of Devonport.
Devonport is a city with 25,000 occupants situated at the mouth of the Mersey River but it also lies on the coast of Bass Strait which is the sea that separates Victoria from Tasmania. Both Devonport and Burnie, are the major regional centres of the north-west of the state. Devonport is a great starting point for discovering some of Tasmania's best national parks, food and wine experiences along with its natural history and heritage.
Devonport is known to visitors as the port for the Spirit of Tasmania ferries - Spirit I and II. |
