Compare Prices on Rental Cars

With so many different suppliers all claiming that they are the cheapest it may sometimes be difficult to find the car rental company that offers you the best deal on a hire car. At Airportcarhire.net.au we have done the research for you and have a table that you can use when deciding on a car.


We used the following specifications when conducting our research. They are in line with the recommendations and tips you can find at Rental Car Tips.

  • We chose a economy/mini car (Hyundai Getz 3 Door or similar)
  • We are over 25 years old (some companies charge a premium for younger drivers)
  • We are Australian citizens
  • We wanted to rent the car from Monday 22 nd October - Thursday 25 th October
  • The car was rented from and delivered to the same location
  • We wanted Third Party Insurance, Damage/Loss Waiver, but no Excess Reduction
  • We wanted unlimited kilometres
  • No extras where included
  • We chose three popular Australian destinations (Sydney Airport, Melbourne Airport and Brisbane Airport)
